Sustainability

Our Mission

We highly value embedding sustainability and resource conservation in all aspects of the Quantum Summit – from promoting travel options that reduce CO2 emissions, to using reusable scaffolding and design elements, to providing vegetarian catering with regional food. In close collaboration with our service partners, we strive to establish sustainable practices as a core aspect of our event.

Our goals

Our Goals

As organizers, we want to financially support climate protection projects and, together with our partner organizations ClimatePartner and Menschen für Menschen, set an example for responsible and resource-efficient event management. The focus is on the key aspects of ecological, economic, and social sustainability, which we consider and continuously develop within the framework of the event concept for the Quantum Summit.

Creating Transparency About Our Climate Protection Commitment

The financial climate contribution of the Quantum Summit means that the event's CO2 emissions are calculated in accordance with the guidelines of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard (GHG Protocol), and certified and regularly audited climate protection projects are financially supported in the amount of the calculated emissions. The calculation includes all CO2 emissions incurred during the planning and implementation of the event: from the participants' travel to the event technology and energy used, to the total number of booked overnight stays.

Financial Climate Contribution Through Our Partner Menschen für Menschen

Together with the foundation Menschen für Menschen, we offset the CO2 emissions generated by our event. We financially support the foundation in conducting reforestation activities in the project areas of Kawo Koysha, Borena, and Wogdi. For people whose livelihoods rely primarily on agriculture, the preservation and regeneration of natural resources ensures their means of subsistence. Additionally, binding CO2 makes a valuable contribution to climate protection.
